Selection of a whirlpool system

Whirlpool (hydro massage) is a rushing jet of water that massages the body and improves blood circulation. Additionally, hydro massage combined with air massage works wonders on your skin. The system consists of pumps, compressors and pipes that feed water under pressure to massaging nozzles. Most whirlpool bathtubs are made of acrylic, as it dampens vibrations very well.
There are 4 main types of nozzles in whirlpool bathtubs:
Side nozzles (adjustable) - nozzles for massaging side of the body, with adjustable stream direction.
Back nozzles - small, flat and unobtrusive nozzles powerfully massaging the back.
Feet nozzles - small size nozzles providing intensive spot-on massage for the feet.
Air nozzles - nozzles in the bottom of the bathtub for the so-called "pearl massage" with air bubbles.
The following decisions need to be made when selecting a whirlpool bathtub:

When selection a bathtub with hydro massage, air massage or hydro and air massage not only personal preferences are taken into consideration, but also the price.
Usually air massage systems are the cheapest. However, air massage alone is not the most attractive option. A bathtub with just water massage may meet all requirements of the user, effectively massaging the legs, back and arms. A combination of water and air massage is the ultimate luxury. The proper mix of air and water soothes the muscles, revitalizes the skin and improves blood circulation.
When purchasing a bathtub with water and air massage system we should make sure both systems can operate independently.
How many nozzles should there be in a bathtub with water massage system and with water and air massage system?
One important rule applies to the number of nozzles - the more nozzles, the weaker massage force per nozzle. So how many nozzles are needed for a comfortably powerful massage? 1-15 nozzles for a system with a 700-1000 kW pump. The most pleasant air massage is provided by systems with a 600-900 kW pump and 8-12 nozzles.
Which control panel to choose - pneumatic or electronic one?
The control panel should match your personal preferences. If you prefer simple, uncomplicated control systems that require little intervention, go for pneumatic panels. They are not only easy to use but also attractively priced.
If you like your bath with extra features, such as a pulse massage system or light therapy, go for an electronic panel that will give you full control over the massage and other options of your bathtub.
